FINAL REFLECTION:
I have learnt so many things in this module, I had to do the design principles very roughly last year in 2D Design but it not in this much detail. I learned how to analyse a piece of art so much better and understand the composition and reasoning behind a piece. I also learned how to apply all the principles much better in my own work and be more thorough in my exploration especially in terms of colour. I enjoyed this entire subject to be honest, every exercise was a way for me to push myself more and see what I could come up with, I didn't want to do something I always do this time around and really pushed myself to see what I am capable of and I have very happy with the results. I feel like I have already grown as an artist and designer in these short 14 weeks surely. Also personally there wasn't anything I didn't enjoy, all the time and effort that went into this subject was so fun for me. I love exploring, understanding and just doing these things. Design is so in depth and interesting especially once I learned more in detail about the principles. I learned that I really prefer digital drawing now. I used to be team traditional all the way, but I realise there are so many things I cannot do in real life that I can do in a digital piece, Ctrl + Z being the biggest example. So many things have changed over this semester, I am more thorough and careful about drawings and pay more attention to everything when I do things even in my personal time. I think about the piece from someone elses perspective more and also ask for opinions more to see what people think of my work. I think for a sudden change from real life classes to online, the lecturers did an amazing job to keep us up to date with work and assignments. I could follow everything easily and there was no trouble keeping up with work. It is a very manageable subject and personally I think it is fine the way it is. I think that allowing us to choose anything we want is very beneficial as we all get to explore so much more in this subject than anything since are not being limited by any means. This subject was one of my favourites I have taken over this semester and my foundation year. Also, Miss Anis is a fantastic lecturer. The online lectures are hard but she made them interesting and kept me awake and participating through classes and gives very helpful and in depth feedback. Overall this subject was great and I am glad to have been able to take it, Thank you!
