INSTRUCTIONS

Week 15

Here is the final compilation of all my work in the "Character Bible". This module was really fun and I'm sad it's ending. The module may be over, but Nyx will definitely continue being used and developed on further for sure.

REFLECTION:

Experience: This module has definitely been my most beloved. I love drawing so much, characters are so interesting in every single way. Being able to express an idea, through so many unique and individualistic aspects kept me constantly having fun. Thinking about myself even, why do I wear what I do? Why do I stand the way I do? Why do I even write the way I do? I'm sure from my writing alone you can tell I talk a lot. It's just these little things that when we add to a character that makes them feel so real. And being able to express that with complete freedom over my ideas was amazing and I am so grateful for being able to be criticised and told how to improve myself.

Observation: Details, details, details. They are so vital to your characters, just as I mentioned earlier. Even the smallest bit of clothing, jewellery, scarring. These all add so much character and life into these drawings. The tattered clothes, the damaged armour, the abundance of scars and bandaging. All of these will point to Nyx' status as a person. His poses, actions, and expressions will demonstrate his arrogance and over-confidence. Though I still believe I can push him much further, it will come with improvement! As everything does.

Findings: I've learned so many things in this class. One thing that stuck with me wanted Nyx to originally be a bounty hunter of sorts, taking up requests and orders to kill people. Miss Anis suggested that he may be carrying around scrolls and pieces of paper, to keep track of his orders and contracts. I would have never thought about this at first. The interaction of objects to the outside world that the character is in. The scrolls don't have any relevance to him necessarily. But it shows something to the audience. And its small details like that which really keep me interested and strive for improvement.
